ROOFING CRAFTSMANSHIP HAS DETERIORATED OVER RECENT DECADES

The roofing trade is perceived by consumers as being easy, requiring little skill by the contractor and tradesman. It is easy to get into and get out of, according to industry surveys. A Columbia yellow pages survey shows that there were 31 total listings in 1992 for roofing contractors, only 16 of these were listed in 1988, only 9 from 1982.
